About

Dr. Stephen Infanger was born and raised in Victoria, Texas. He loves seeing all general cardiac concerns in his clinic.

Dr. Infanger completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering summa cum laude from Texas A&M University in 2012. During this time, he performed research on biomedical polymers and trained with a focus on mechanics. From there, he continued to medical school at McGovern Medical School in Houston, TX and decided to pursue cardiology as a career. He was accepted to University of Alabama at Birmingham’s internal medicine residency in 2016 and continued his training there for his cardiovascular medicine fellowship. During that time, he gained an interest in all aspects of cardiac imaging as well as intraprocedural transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr. Infanger is passionate about cardiac imaging because it is critical to the diagnosis and monitoring of treatment for valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, heart failure as well as arrhythmia management. Learning the nuances of each imaging modality is important to quality care for cardiovascular patients.

When he is not in the hospital, Dr. Infanger enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his family and pets.
