Matthew Jepson, DO, is originally from San Antonio and is a long time avid Spurs fan. He graduated through the Honors Program from Schreiner University in Kerrville, TX, where he met his wife, Michelle, who is from Fredericksburg.
He earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX, before completing his Internal Medicine residency at Texas A&M/Baylor Scott & White in Temple, TX. He then completed his Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the same institution, ultimately being selected to serve as chief fellow during the final year of training. He specializes in general cardiology and is board certified in internal medicine and echocardiography, and is board-eligible for cardiovascular disease. His special interests include preventive care and cardiovascular imaging.
Dr. Jepson is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. He has participated in a number of research projects and his research findings have been published in a variety of peer-reviewed publications.
In his free time, Dr. Jepson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, working out, and hunting.
