About Mario Cendan, APRN, AGACNP-BC

Mario Cendan, a board-certified nurse practitioner, provides skilled and compassionate care as an important part of the Austin Heart care team. He has expertise working with patients who have a wide array of conditions -- including cardiac conditions -- helping them to manage their symptoms, improve their health and prevent illness.

He earned his bachelor's degree from University of South Florida and a master's in public health from Florida International University. He then moved to California to obtain a master's in nursing from University of San Diego. He received his training to become an adult-gerontology nurse practitioner from Arizona State University, earning a 4.0 grade point average.

Cendan has prior experience in emergency nursing and has participated in health research, including Alzheimer's disease and sepsis, to improve patient care. He is a member of the Texas Nurse Practitioners Association.

He enjoys volunteering in the community and has shared his time and talents supporting organizations like Samaritan Health Ministries, which provides care to uninsured Texans in Williamson County, as well as a memory program in Wisconsin for patients with Alzheimer's disease.
