About Kim Slayton, RN, ACNS-BC
Kim Slayton is originally from San Antonio, she moved frequently with her family because her father was in the military, and graduated from high school in Germany. She received a B.A. in Mass Communications with a minor in Spanish from the University of South Florida. After 3 years in Washington, D.C., she finally returned to Texas, and after working in advertising, recruiting and public affairs, she returned to school. She received a M.S. in Nursing through the Alternate Entry program at the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 before becoming board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health. Previously, she worked at Live Oak Cardiology as an Advanced Practice RN for 9 years.
She enjoys traveling the world, reading, cooking, hiking and spending time with friends and family.
