Dr. Michael Henderson is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. He earned his medical degree from the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine; Residency training received at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC and his cardiology fellowship training completed at University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is board certified in general cardiology, and board eligible in nuclear and echocardiography. As a veteran of the United States Army, Dr. Henderson served as Chief of Internal Medicine and Chair of the Critical Care Committee while at West Point. He was deployed to Iraq with the 15th Sustainment Brigade unit out of Fort Hood, Texas, and received a Meritorious Service Medal. Outside of his professional interests, Dr. Henderson enjoys time with his wife and participating in Boy Scouts of America activities with his three young boys. In his personal time, Dr. Henderson enjoys camping, fishing and sports… especially football and basketball.
