Dr. Mell Jackson is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He received an undergraduate degree from Emory University and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovas­cular disease from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease. He began practicing cardiology in Fredericksburg in 1997.
