About Anthony Cedrone

Anthony Cedrone, M.D. received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He served his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, and was active on the Resident Research Committee, Faculty Advisory Committee and Medicine Continuity Clinic Committee. Dr. Cedrone completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology from North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in Manhasset, NY. His areas of special interest include peripheral arterial disease and structural heart disease. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Cedrone enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf.


Sudden Cardiac Death in a 20-year-old Male Swimmer.  South Med J. 2010;103(5): 464-466. Principal author on a case report describing the physiology of swimming, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and sudden cardiac death in a 20 –year-old swimmer.

Predictors of Recurrent Atrial Fibrillation Using Mode Switch Quantification.(2007-2008) Retrospective chart review that involved using mode switch data from implanted defibrillators to determine factors associated with recurrent atrial fibrillation in patients with heart failure.

Review of Statin Treatment in Patients with Stable Coronary Artery Disease.(2008) A retrospective chart review performed in ambulatory medicine clinic that analyzed the compliance of treating to LDL cholesterol goal of 70 mg/dL in patients with coronary artery disease.
