Book an Appointment with Alap Jani, MD
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Jani is passionate about medicine, clinical research and teaching. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and returned to Texas to earn his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After graduating, he spent 3 months volunteering abroad at a hospital in India, spending his time serving patients in need. From there, Dr. Jani returned to academia and worked as a postgraduate research fellow at Emory University.
Continuing his journey in medicine, he trained at USC in Los Angeles for his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. After finishing his residency, he worked as a hospitalist, advocating for the best care for his patients, before deciding to pursue further specialization in Cardiology. He received his general cardiovascular fellowship training at the University of Hawaii Queens Medical Center. During his final year, he was selected as the co-Chief Fellow, particularly working with resident education.
Dr. Jani then pursued further specialization through fellowship in interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular interventions and structural heart disease at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University which specialized in complex interventions. Dr. Jani has received awards in teaching and has written abstracts/papers and presented at several national conferences throughout his training years.
Dr. Jani is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.
He is now happy to return to his home state of Texas with his family, and is excited to practice in the Austin/San Marcos area.
