Dr. Richard Cashion comes to Austin Heart from College Station, Texas. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at
Austin, he received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Post-graduate training began with an Internal
Medicine residency at the Harvard Medical Service at Boston City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Cashion has had several academic appointments including a teaching fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas A & M Health Science Center. Dr. Cashion is American Board of Internal Medicine certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology.
